A day in Macau

Like life, I have found that with holidays, not everything goes to plan. And sometimes that's refreshing, but sometimes it's also disappointing. That's what happened today. We had planned to visit a relative in Macau, but all went really wrong and we didn't get him to meet them. That's not what we planned, and we were deeply disappointed.

But you know what? We were in Macau. With the short time that we had, we decided to pay a visit to the Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral and strolled around the Macau streets, not because I wanted to go tourist fever all over the place, but I'm just like a little kid on Christmas morning when it comes to visiting historical sites and feasting my eyes upon beautiful architecture {or any architecture, for the matter}.

I could have stayed there for hours and hours. Despite not meeting our relatives, Macau turned out to be great. That's the thing with disappointments; sometimes they can lead to great surprises.
